Choosing a capture device
DeckLink installs in a PCIe slot in a desktop workstation. Choose it for a machine that stays in one place and needs maximum throughput or multiple channels.
UltraStudio connects over Thunderbolt or USB. Choose it for a laptop, or for a rig that moves.
Channel count matters more than headline resolution. A four-channel HD card is the right answer for multi-camera HD capture; a single-channel 4K card is not, however much bigger the number looks.
