Live production. ATEM Mini for HDMI cameras within about 10 metres; ATEM SDI once cable runs get longer or the cameras are across a hall. Count your sources before choosing between four inputs and eight.
Post-production. DaVinci Resolve is free; Resolve Studio is the paid version and the panels — Speed Editor, Micro, Mini, Editor Keyboard — are bought separately. The Speed Editor includes a Studio licence in the box, which often makes it the cheapest route to both.
Capture and routing. DeckLink for PCIe workstations, UltraStudio for Thunderbolt and USB, Videohub when you need to route many SDI sources to many destinations.
