ATEM Mini vs Mini Pro vs Pro ISO vs Extreme — which one to buy in Bangladesh

••4 min read•Updated: 7 October 2026•

The short answer

All four ATEM Mini switchers take HDMI cameras in, cut between them live, and send one clean programme feed out. What separates them is how many cameras you can connect, whether the switcher can stream and record on its own, and whether it can record each camera separately for editing afterwards.

  • ATEM Mini Pro — 4 HDMI inputs, built-in hardware streaming, USB-C recording. The standard choice for a church, a classroom or a small studio.
  • ATEM Mini Pro ISO — the same, plus it records every input separately and writes a DaVinci Resolve project file.
  • ATEM Mini Extreme — 8 HDMI inputs. For multi-camera events where four is not enough.

What "live switching" actually buys you

Without a switcher, a multi-camera shoot means recording every angle separately and cutting it together afterwards. That is fine for a wedding film. It is useless for a live stream, where the audience needs one finished feed right now.

The ATEM Mini range collapses that job into one box. Cameras go in over HDMI, you press a button, the output changes. The programme feed goes straight to YouTube, Facebook or Twitch without a separate streaming computer in the chain.

ATEM Mini Pro — the default

Four HDMI inputs with automatic re-sync up to 1080p60. That last part matters more than it sounds: you can mix a camera at 1080p50, a laptop at 1080p60 and a phone feed on the same switcher without converting anything by hand.

It streams in hardware. H.264 encoding happens inside the switcher and goes out over Ethernet directly to the platform — no streaming PC, no OBS, nothing to crash mid-service. It also records the programme feed as an H.264 file to a USB flash disk or an external SSD, and it drives a multiview so you can see all four inputs, media and programme on one monitor.

It will also control a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K or 6K directly over the HDMI cable — iris, focus and colour from the switcher.

ATEM Mini Pro ISO — when you also want to edit later

Everything the Pro does, plus ISO recording: the programme feed and all four inputs are written as separate files. When the stream ends you have five video files instead of one.

It then writes a DaVinci Resolve project file that contains your live cuts as an editable timeline. You open it in Resolve and every switch you made live is already there as a cut — but with all four camera angles underneath, so you can change any of them.

That is the whole argument for the ISO. If the output is only ever the live stream, you do not need it. If the event also becomes a polished edit afterwards — a conference, a concert, a sermon that gets re-cut for social — the ISO saves the shoot.

ATEM Mini Extreme — when four inputs run out

Eight HDMI inputs, still up to 1080p60, still RTMP streaming over Ethernet or USB-C. The decision here is not about features, it is about arithmetic: count your cameras, add the laptop running slides, add the playback source. If the total is over four, you need the Extreme.

What about SDI?

HDMI cable runs get unreliable past roughly 10 metres. If your cameras are across a hall, on a stage, or up in a gallery, HDMI is the wrong connector and no switcher will fix that. The ATEM SDI range exists for exactly this — same switching model, BNC connectors, cable runs measured in tens of metres.

Browse the live stream switchers and switchers categories for the SDI models.

Choosing, in one paragraph

Count your sources. Four or fewer and you only ever stream: Mini Pro. Four or fewer and the event gets edited afterwards: Mini Pro ISO. More than four: Extreme. Cameras more than about 10 metres from the switcher: move to ATEM SDI and budget for BNC cable.

Prices change, so we do not print them here — every product page above carries the current price in taka. If you are unsure which fits your room, our Dhaka showroom will run your actual cameras through a switcher before you buy.
