EF or RF?
RF is the current mount and where Canon's new optical design goes. Choose it for a new system.
EF still makes sense if you already own the glass — Canon's own adapter mounts EF lenses on RF bodies with no loss of autofocus performance.
Check the sensor format before buying a lens: EF-S and RF-S lenses are APS-C only and will not cover a full-frame body.
